The Revillos at The Whisky a Go-Go September 16, 1981 * Los Angeles, Ca When I was 19, one of my favorite bands, The Revillos, came to town to play at the Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, Ca. Naively I thought, “I’ll take my camera (a crappy Kodak Instamatic 126) and take some pictures!” When I got to the door, Mr. DoorGuy says: “No cameras allowed inside!” As I stood there in shock, Rocky Rhythm (the band’s drummer) came down from the stairs where he had been watching the exchange and said it would be ok for me to come and take pictures backstage (upstairs) before the show. So, upstairs I went with my toy camera! Don’t judge, I was 19, nervous, and unaware I was about to run out of film before I got to shoot the last member out of the dressing room! Lessons learned!
